Character type: Dragonrider
Appearance: A'rif is short. He has grown lately, and now is just over five feet tall. His skin is very deeply tanned, and his hair is a dark brown, cut sloppily so that it is too long and hangs into his eyes. It waves and is unruly in general. It might look more presentable if it was cut shorter, but A'rif shies away from all offers as though to cut his hair would mean certain death.
Personality: This brownrider is skittery. He is shy to the point of not speaking at all unless spoken to first and has few friends. Crowds in general scare him and he tends to hold people at an arm's length.
History: Aerif lived in Igen Weyr with a fostermother and several fostersiblings. One of his fosterbrothers used to bully him mercilessly, while his fostermother looked on. Aerif suffered through a lot of psychological and physical abuse there, until he happened to be Searched. His fostersister, Raine, who was his closest friend, was also Searched. Aerif Impressed brown Kalth, and Raine Impressed green Herenaith.
Information about A'rif's dragon
Dragon Name: Kalth
Wing (Weyrling Group): Firedance
Appearance: Kalth is a very small brown dragon. He is quick, but not quite as quick as his larger siblings. He is a light coffee color, with a long tail and short, wide wings. His snout is also rather short and rounded.
Personality: Because of his size, Kalth rarely catches the greens that he chases. Still he continues to fly, undaunted by his size. He worries a lot about A'rif, always convinced that something is wrong with his lifemate. A'rif shuts him out a lot, and that hurts Kalth. He is rather shy, but manages to flirt clumsily with a few other green dragons.
Weyr of Origin: Arolos
Abilites and weaknesses: Kalth can slip between the larger dragons to get hard to reach clumps of Thread. He is very agile and can move quickly. His size, however, restricts him from being as fast as other dragons. He constantly worries over his lifemate, which can take his mind off of drills and Thread fighting.
