The PlanIn 1999 a small Weyr appeared on what was then known as Onelist. The BoD of this Weyr did not know then that the Weyr would still be around and thriving, with an active little sister, in 2006. They did not anticipate that they could be receiving tens of personas each week for the two Weyrs combined. In short, they never realised just how much of their lives they were signing over to saying "No" on a daily basis. Time passes, and the two places became substantially more work than we ever anticipated. Persona sheets flooded in - and are still flooding in. Unfortunately, as you may have noticed, a side-effect of this is that sometimes we can get behind. Sheets are processed more slowly than we would like due to the time it takes to say "No" to each and every thing that makes our heads hurt. However, somewhere along the way we learnt a valuable lesson. Our heads hurt a lot less when looking at persona sheets if we are viewing them on a brand new Alienware laptop or Macbook Pro. Clutches seem much less work when you are drawing the pictures for them on the newest graphics tablets. And we can plot and think about what you people would like to see much better when we've packed in our jobs and are taking a year long tour around the world. To this end, we are making Arolos and Dark Fort a commercial enterprise. We feel that this will not be too much of an issue as it should essentially be self-regulating - people who have worked to earn the money to buy a gold dragon are not, after all, going to leave it unplayed. It will have two advantages - it will enable us to process sheets quicker as we will not have to correct so many things and we will be able to use the money to help us devote ourselves to Arolos and Dark Fort full time, giving you the attention you so richly deserve.
