Sef Weyr & The Second Pass: A Resource Guide.Entered by: Lynn (Nutmeg) Date: 2015-12-20 Relevant to: Arolos and DF Summary: The Christmas plot of 2014 saw the Arolosians venturing into the ruins of what appeared to be an unknown Weyr that was not on any record or maps. Discovering the remnants of strange and unusual items as well as the remains of dragons that seemed much too small, it was eventually revealed, through a roundabout turn of events that at some point, the Arolosians would venture back in time to find this strange and forgotten Weyr, hoping to save it from it’s ashy fate. Bringing ‘Forward’ a group of Sef Weyr’s denizens including their Junior Weyrwoman, these visitors from the past, almost 2000 Turns prior, have left the majority of their technology behind and are horrified at the ‘backwards’ state the so-called ‘future’ now lives. Article: Sef Weyr (The Southern Experimental Facility) was small, because it was never actually a proper Weyr at all. Positioned all the way over in the South it was intended as a place where geneticists could work but also keep their creations effectively quarantined; ensuring no cross-breeding with the general dragon population until they were sure it was safe. Attempts at increasing human ability to Impress were more successful and also resulted in a slight increase of the number of HADs, HAWs and HAFs in the general population as the susceptibility of people to dragons was raised.
