Month 9 Lesson - Trust BuildingEntered by: Keelyn Date: 2012-10-22 Relevant to: Arolos Summary: Regarding the Weyrlings that stood before him, Lep'kin couldn't help but smile. They were growing so quickly that it was sometimes hard to believe that they were only in their ninth month of training. “As you own know, or should know if you’ve been paying attention in your lessons, when fighting thread dragonriders need to trust their instincts, their dragons, and their wingmates. When fighting thread and you hear someone shout ‘go Between’ generally it’s a good idea to act first and ask questions later, because if you don’t, there might not *be* a later. It doesn’t matter if you hate the person who’s shouting, in the sky, fighting thread your lives are in one another’s hands. As such, you need to learn to trust one another, to be able to hear another’s warning and respond instantaneously. This can be hard at times, but almost everything about being a rider is.” Lep’kin paused for a moment, allowing the weyrlings a moment to take that in. Taking a small swallow of water, he continued, “The point of today’s lesson is to work on that, to work on trusting one another. To begin, I need all of you to get into groups of two, if necessary one group of three may be formed."
