Actually obtaining a flame is not difficult, but obtaining a controllable flame is, hence why we have waited until now for your dragons stomachs to be ready to cope with the firestone and for you to know enough about firestone to judge what is needed.” B’lin looked at the eager faces and recalled his own moment in Weyrlinghood when he’d had Quelenth take his first bite of firestone, it was a good memory. “Okay now, take a bag tagged for your colour dragon and I want you all in a line, not in front or behind each other. Good...now... take a chunk, and feed it to your dragon and encourage them to think of their second stomach as they chew. It will sound terrible but it is rock after all. Now, only feed them three chunks to begin with and wait and for Faranth’s sake, stand to one side. Your dragon will feel the need to belch and will then release the flame. Simple as that." The WLM smiled. "It will be surprising at first but then you can start to judge what sort of effect those three pieces had and how much more you might need to get a longer more sustained flame...and every dragon is different.
